TriboPack is a package of co-ordinated design measures covering all aspects of the tribological interaction between piston, piston ring and cylinder liner. It comprises:
- Liner of the appropriate material, with optimised hard phase;
- Careful turning of the liner running surface and deep-honing of the liner over the full length of the running surface;
- Load dependent insulation tubes in the cooling bores in upper part of the liner;
- Mid-stroke liner insulation bandage;
- Anti-Polishing Ring at top of cylinder liner;
- Pre-profiled piston rings in all grooves;
- Chromium ceramic coating on top piston ring;
- RC (Running-in Coating) on lower piston rings;
- Increased thickness of chromium layer in the piston-ring grooves;
- Multi-level cylinder lubrication.

- 1 fully deep-honed liner with insulation and multilevel lubrication fitting tools (per engine)
