Worksafe is a bearing system designed for oil-lubricated stern tubes in smaller vessels, such as workboats, river ships, and coastal vessels. We supply ready-to-fit bearing systems, either with bearings only for press fi tting into the stern tube, or together with housings, fully machined, and ready to insert into the stern frame or bracket boss.
The bearings have greater compressive strength, higher impact strength, and great elasticity to provide extended service life. The friction and wear values are very low. The bearings do not seize or damage the shaft, and can, in the event of oil loss due to worn or wire-damaged seals, work in an emulsion. Should there be a complete seal failure, they can work with full power in pure seawater.
