WHO CAN APPLY?
We are looking for energetic and highly motivated recent graduates or just graduating individuals with a Master’s degree in for example information technology, computer science, telecommunication, industrial engineering or economics.
You have a strong academic track record, excellent communication skills and fluent English skills, keen interest in and enthusiastic approach to aspects of information management, drive to develop, experience and contribute in a large international environment and you are a person with ”can-do” attitude, flexibility, openness, professional curiosity and goal orientation.
IN BRIEF
The programme is a 12 month development programme in Finland, including a shorter period spent abroad. The aim of the programme is to strengthen our existing organisation of skilled professionals with the innovative and fearless thinking of fresh graduates, in order to be able to meet future requirements on information management.
During the programme you will have the opportunity to get deeper insight into areas of information management dealing with global and cross-functional activities in a large international corporation and enhance your professional knowledge in real business situations. The programme includes a training concept covering not only IM, but also modules on Wärtsilä’s businesses and processes as well as management and leadership. You will be assigned a mentor and receive continuous coaching for your personal development. The goal is to offer all programme participants permanent positions as experts or managers within Wärtsilä IM after the programme.
WHEN TO APPLY?
The previous Young IM Professionals programme with six participants, started in March 2007 and ended in August 2008. These persons are now assigned to permanent positions in the areas of Application Support, Business Reporting, Project Management and Telecommunication Services of Wärtsilä IM. The next programme will start in January 2009 and the application time ends on 5 October 2008.
